5-Aminosalicylic Acid in the Management of Ulcerative Colitis

Abstract

|
5-aminosalicylic acid(salofalk(r)=mesalazine) have been used in the kum-kang clinc for the treatment of ulcerative colitis(UC). Fourteen patients with mild to severe attacks of ulcerative colitis were treated using 5-aminosalicylic acid tablets
and
suppositories for controlling active disease. Improvement was obsereved in 84.6% of the therapeutic cycle after 1 month.
